Quote #31
Comments
@glutinousreis thanks for the quote. Please also provide a backing link. However, actions speak louder than plans. Are there any evidence that china has been putting less human rights activists in jail than before? Or allowed for greater freedom of speech? Freedom of speech I will only believe when political talk is not censored on the web. Any concrete evidence of improvement will be added to this repo. |
Which kind of human right 'activist' was you thinking of? The one who create jobs and opportunities and improve common people's livelihood or the one who go somewhere, put out some banners, shout some words, shot some photos and then call it a day? Freedom of speech ≠ No responsibility for your words. No matter what your intention is, if you spread words that's just not true, you should be willing to face consequences. ps. I wonder if you know when and why GFW became a thing |
Not much. If you have a good link explaining, do give it to me. OP later replies to this comment #31 (comment)
I just said I don't know it, and I'm still accused of saying I think know everything XD I should stick to the following rule: reply once to tickets. If it feels like OP can't teach me anything of interest, don't reply further. Being nice is pointless in this case, just stop replying. |
I do, but unfortunately I won't give them to you. You need to do some digging on your own, which is the best way to pull yourself out of the illusion of 'I am well informed'. 2001/04/04 |
Nevertheless, we are keenly aware that problems, some of them serious, remain. China's economic development pattern is still extensive, unbalanced, uncoordinated and unsustainable. There is still a huge gap between urban and rural development. Difficulties need to be solved in such fields as health care, education, care for the aged, food and drug safety, income distribution and the environment -- all of which are closely related to the people's vital interests. The rule of law in safeguarding human rights needs to be further promoted and more efforts are required to realize higher levels of human rights protection.
No where to be seen on any 'western' news outlet tho, what a suprise.
p.s. echo chamber is dangerous, so is politicalization
