Project structure
Input data are organized in projects, located in project folders. Examples can be found at Hermes2Go)/examples/project/
A project can be defined by the user, e.g., a farm, a water protection area, or an administrative region. Different weather stations or grids can be attributed via batch files to polygons within a project.
The simulation options can be defined in a configuration file (config.yml) for each project. For a full list of options, please read the annotations of a config.yml in examples, e.g ex1/config.yml
The model demands input for soil properties, soil management, weather, crop management and fertilisers. The structure of the files allows linking the model to a Geographical Information System (GIS) via polygons, i.e. fields with same management, but different soil properties.
All data can be edited with a simple text editor. Some Data has a very specific text format, other files can be provided as .csv.
