Issue with hoversubplots Argument in Plotly R layout()

Although the documentation for Plotly in R mentions the hoversubplots argument (see Plotly R Documentation), I encountered the following warning when attempting to use it in my plots:

Warning: 'layout' objects don't have these attributes: 'hoversubplots'. I faced the same issue, I couldn't use hoversubplots= argument in layout() function in R. but I can use hoversubplots= argument in update_layout() function in python
