Copilot TAB keybinding not working on JetBrains Client #54838

Select Topic AreaBug BodyHello, i have gotten copilot setup on JetBrans Client , however TAB does not seem to function (other keybindings such as next work fine), i have disabled cmp's usage of TAB but the problem still presists JetBrans Client just seems to tab indent when in insert mode instead of using the copilot suggestion. |

Hi @sullivanSun , If Tab is not working correctly, have you tried re-assigning the keybinding to something else? You can configure the settings at at Preferences > Keymap > Plugins > GitHub Copilot Also, what is the layout of your keyboard (like - English-US) and do you have Tab already assigned to any other keybinding with JetBrains IDE? |

hallo@Akash1134, My keyboard layout is the default MacOS keyboard layout provided by the IDE and the keyboark is Apple Extended keyboark. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question. Unfortunately, the solution provided doesn't quite address my issue |

Same problem and what if I set other keybinding such as shift+ctrl+x which wa not used by others,I still can't use code completion . |

Same, am accessing a Linux server from a windows JetBrains client - does not work with TAB or setting to anything else - simply can't get Copilot completions. |

For me, completions works only the second time I try it. I.e. I press Tab, then it jumps to next line, I go back, now if I press Tab again it inserts the suggestion. Anyone else experiencing this? |

I can't find a way to make completions work under PHPStorm on WSL2 running on JetBrains Gateway on Windows. I've tried to change the keybindings to one that didn't conflict with the others but with no luck. I see the completions on the interface but I can't select them. |

I have the same problem. I am developing on Debian remotely from an M2 Mac, and Copilot’s Tab key does not autocomplete. Changing to other shortcuts also does not work. copilot version: 1.5.6.5692 |

I disabled the plugin on the Host, enabled on the Client. Shut everything down. Closed the bridge, closed Clion, reconnected. Working now. |

Could it be possible that this issue (completions showing, but not applying upon pressing TAB) re-appears in the latest version of GitHub Copilot? I had and still have it installed on the client only, but it stopped working for the recent release. |
