I've got the latest Ad Blocker, and AdNauseam. After visiting many pages with ads, Facebook, Google, Cafemom, TMZ, all of these sites show "No Ads on Page" in AdNauseam. The only page I can find that has ads in NYTimes.com, and only the subscription to the NYT ads appear in AdNausem. Thanks!

Just to confirm Adblock is blocking ads that AdNauseam is not seeing.

A bit more information would be helpful.First, the AdNauseam version (you can find this at the top of the Settings menu or in the log). Second, some example URLs (and/or screenshots) of pages you are visiting, where there are non-flash ads that AdNauseam is not finding.

Thanks so much.

It is version 1.11.

Some Url's:
http://www.thestranger.com
http://mediatakeout.com/
http://www.zam.com/

I will post images from the sites. The first image is with Adblock disabled. The second is with Adblock enabled (and ads removed), and AdNauseum opened showing that it is finding no ads. This is how 95% of pages with ads show up for me.

These should now be fixed (in version 1.19).

Please verify with this xpi.

Looks good now on these 3 websites with v1.19

@abbiehoffmann you tested with the release listed above (v1.19) and still don't see ads on the 3 listed sites?

With 1.20. Is there a compiled 1.19 I can try?

I have no ads with http://thestranger.com, http://www.mediatakeout.com, and two ads at zam.com on version 1.19. I don't get the same results as you do.

Got it. Had blur installed. Had to uninstall.

Ok, well I will leave this issues closed, but what is the problem with Blur -- is there some conflict we should look into?

Also weird, went to 1.20 without Blur installed, then got no ads. Went back to 1.19 without Blur and got the ads back. The problem seems that if Blur is installed with 1.19 ads don't load based on my very limited testing.

...and ads are gone again in 1.19. Disabled all of my plugins and they are still gone Very erratic. Will do a clean reinstall of Firefox when I can.

Still can't get 1.2 beta to work at all now even with no plugins but adblock plus and Adnauseum. Does it work better on Windows?

That is quite strange. A number of users, including most of the dev team, have been extensively using v1.2 on OSX. Is it possible that your Firefox profile has become corrupt? Can you try with a fresh profile, as described here? Thanks (and sorry for your difficulties)

Thanks much dhowe. I did that. Works on thestranger.com, and got 2 ads on zam.com. Nothing on media takeout, or a couple dozen main news sites that have lots of ads. Seemed to have helped, but still not working as expected. Is there a list of sites that definitely work with adnauseum?

I actually see one ad on mediatakeout.com (see below), but one tip is the following. Since ADN does not handle Flash ads (for privacy/security reasons) you may want to disable Flash in your browser, as then you will be served non-Flash ads which ADN can handle. You can do this via the Tools->Addons->Plugins Menu in Firefox.

But, in any case, I think that a list is a good suggestion. I've started a ticket here with several off the top of my head. I've also started a ticket where we can list sites where (non-Flash) ads are NOT being detected. Let's all contribute a few!
