Cannot Restore from Tachiyomi (Official) #189

Steps to reproduce

  1. Backup library from Tachiyomi.
  2. Restore the backup from Aniyomi.

Expected behavior

The backup should restore sucessfully.

Actual behavior

An error appears stating "Expected wire type 0, but found 2".

Crash logs

No response

0.12.3.1

Android version

Android 11

Device

Google Pixel 5

Other details

The backups are proto[buff?].gz backups, but I guess that's expected since I don't believe the old JSON backups are supported anymore.

#168 is a similar issue with mentions "other forks" failing but:

  1. I'm having issues restoring from the "official" Tachiyomi application.
  2. "Converting" the backup to a Tachiyomi J2K backup doesn't seem to help either, as Tachiyomi J2K experiences the same error as Aniyomi and therefore makes this workaround impossible.

This seems to be fixed as of 940c08a.
