Focus after adding item to multiple ui-select

I have updated from prior version and see that focus (and focus/click) position has changed.

In older version after selecting item from choice the user could click next to the item to display the dropdown list. In newer version, on selecting an item, the area doubles in height and the user needs to click below the already selected item to bring up dropdown box. See attachment showing extra space below item where one needs to click.

I see the same behavior when running examples and am wondering if there is a way to revert back to previous behavior where combination does not add line below already selected items.

Apologies for long delay.

I wasn't sure which tag the patch was against but I manually updated select.js as best I could and it does seem to resolve the issue.

I assume this fix has not been merged into main project yet?
