Crop image to overlapping portion for registration

We should enlarge the cropping area, e.g. + 1% of image size + 5% of overlap + 16 pixels.

This will improve the brightness of the true peak when image content is repetitive or monotonous. Additionally, it should speed up the computation as less pixels need to be processed in common cases.
