Glossary

Emoticon : An icon / symbol representing an emotional state. E.g. 😔 is the sad emoticon.

Emotional State : The emotional state of the user, each state is uniquely represented by an emoticon and a color.

Follower : A is a follower of B if A is following B.

Following : A is following B if A sent B a follow request and B accepted it. Users can see the most recent mood events of users that they are following.

Location : The GPS location when the user experiences the mood.

Mood Event : The mood of a user at a specific time, recorded by the user in the application. Internally, an instantiation of the mood class.

Mood History : A log containing all of a user's previous mood events.

Social Situation : The number of nearby people when the user experiences the mood.

User : Anybody using our application.
