To circumvent the limitation that KeepassXC currently can't connect to a flatpaked firefox, a solution has been proposed in keepassxreboot/keepassxc#7352 (comment) that works by putting keepassxc-proxy-rust inside of the firefox flatpak. While the author managed to get this setup working, another user as well as me encountered an error while trying this out (keepassxreboot/keepassxc#7352 (comment)).

Flatpak browsers are not supported.
