Enhance the MAC-based driver pointing. A couple of things comes to my mind:

Explore if some kind of shadow background call could pair backing store directories to expected urls
Make it so that if there is shorter MAC than full length, then it applies to all systems hacing that start. This way we can spot ranges of similar computers and automatically assign the same drivers
