Dropdown list for product sorting does not work with Internet Eplorer 11 #1485

With Internet Eplorer 11 the dropdown list does not show any product sorting options, only the default sorting option is shown ("Sort by Featured").

Please check on SmartStore demo site. With Chrome and Firefox the dropdown list is working fine.
