[Bug]: All synced!
reported but file status disagrees
#5936
Comments
I just created a new file and that was synced. Also changes to the new file were synced. However, changing any existing file does nothing, also copies of existing files are not synced. I noticed that files >5MB are not synced. Not sure why ... upload_max_filesize 64MB I just increased them to 512MB and now NEW files >5MB are synced. However, existing files are not. Also changing or renaming existing files does nothing. |
Under background jobs it tells me: I have tried all 3 settings (Ajax, Cron, and Webcron) ... to no avail. |
Could it be that this software has issues with some foreign characters? I noticed that files containing things like ç,ä, or chinese characters in their filenames are not synced. |
Check out issue/5935 There may be a solution there for you |
Thank you for this. After changing the system encoding to UTF-8 as suggested in this post, it led to the synchronization of several files, all containing Chinese characters in the filenames. However, there are still files (about 50) that are not synced, and they do not appear to have foreign characters in their names, so the issue is partly resolved but not completely. To be clear: the files in question seem to have been synced at some point, i.e., they are on the server with the same "last modified" date as on my PC, so they were probably synced by an earlier version of nextcloud. However, these particular files do not show the green tick mark but remain with the blue circle, so if I make any changes to them now they are not synced. Bearing in mind that this issue appeared suddenly (and since I did not make any changes to my Windows system), this problem must have been introduced with a nextcloud update. Also, since this is an issue with a Windows default setting, it still qualifies as a bug and should be addressed by the nextcloud developers as soon as possible! |
