Wildly Weird Web Apps: WWWapps!
Okay, maybe the silly name won't stick, but the idea is simple: Since Weird can act as a standalone OAuth server it can theoretically be used to log into any web app that supports OAuth (OIDC) logins. The platform provider just needs to add a config for Weird as a login option alongside the usual suspects.
That means we can set up an "app store" on
a.weird.one/wwwapps
that collects all the apps that natively support Weird login, acting as a gateway to fellow indie alternatives to the Big Tech baddies. Listed apps will be a mix of free services (along with prominent links to their donation pages) as well as paid services; we don't take any cut, we're strictly a connector.Examples
