There are duplicate items in the application search results of PowerToys Run #37774

Alt+Space

✔️ Expected Behavior

❌ Actual Behavior

One shortcut is located on the Public User's Desktop (C:\Users\Public\Desktop) \
while the other is in the Start Menu folder (%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs).


Other applications with shortcuts in the public user folder have the same issue.

  1. C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu
  2. %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Steam
  3. C:\Users\Public\Desktop

However, note that if shortcuts exist in multiple locations, it will index three (or more) duplicate entries.
