I'd like to express our gratitude to the community of contributors—those whose work we've merged, those who have work in progress, as well as those who help other contributors.
In December and January, we merged contributions from the following authors across many of our repositories. My heartfelt thank you to
@Abhishek-Punhani for improving search input placeholder text on smaller resolutions and introducing object validation to several components.
@Arunima22 for fixing loading issues in search results.
@BabyElias for fixing case-sensitive sorting in a table component.
@chetan21122004 for creating a new component that allows toggling between an example and its code.
@EshaanAgg for implementing the default sort feature in a table component and enhancing its documentation with better clarity and examples.
@karankoder for improving spacing in a table component.
@KshitijThareja for integrating a visual testing mechanism with the latest Kolibri Design System version. Creating this mechanism was Kshitij's GSOC '24 successful project, and we're grateful that Kshitij generously returned to help us start using it.
@lokesh-sagi125 for improving long text display in a button.
@manzil-infinity180 for ensuring consistent API responses for invalid inputs.
@RONAK-AI647 for improving the search filter and back button experience, enhancing design system documentation, and improving breadcrumb accessibility.
@Sahil-Sinha-11 for patiently debugging a tricky and hard-to-find issue with a broken modal backdrop transition, and eventually fixing it!
@shivam-daksh for significantly refactoring a method in a table component to improve clarity and maintainability. This task required understanding many nuanced accessibility features and ensuring no regressions.
@shruti862 for improving hover background colors and tooltip component documentation.
@SukhvirKooner for making a great start on a new GitHub action that manages stale issue assignments, and continued work on this task.
@yashhash2 for fixing the position of the connection status indicator.
Special thanks to @BabyElias, who, in addition to her own ongoing contributions, has guided several other contributors in continuing her successful GSOC '24 table component by providing detailed reviews and valuable insights. I also want to mention @EshaanAgg, who consistently offers valuable feedback in reviews and has once again brought innovation, this time by improving the design system documentation system—more on that next time!
My appreciation goes to the core development team for the patient and kind support that so many of you steadily offer to the contributor community.
Thank you all for this impactful work 💛
Warm wishes,
Michaela
