Does this work only with Nvidia cards? Because I'm getting errors even during the environment creation phase during some filechecks.

Some of my apps works with AMD GPUs. I don't know about this one. It is also possible your issues are not related to AMD but just an install program.
Try to insall the app through the pinokio.computer app store maybe it will work better.
