Completed in: aboutcode-org/scancode.io#1400

The simple way to test this is to follow the below steps after installing ScanCode.io (https://scancodeio.readthedocs.io/en/latest/installation.html#local-development-installation):

  1. Follow the steps for configuring FederatedCode git repo https://scancodeio.readthedocs.io/en/latest/application-settings.html#federatedcode
  2. Create new project using the download_url of any package archive and select scan_single_package pipeline
  3. Once the scan_single_package has successfully finished add publish_to_federatedcode pipeline this will comit the scan results to configured git repo.
