What needs to be done

Test the 3.1 sample eCRs provided by Epic (see below) and ensure that:

  • They can successfully convert to FHIR
  • All data present in the original eCR is present in our Viewer

Why it needs to be done

The new version of the eCR spec, 3.1, has been planned for some time and EMR systems like Epic are beginning to switch their systems to it. Epic is planning a release later this quarter to all their HCO providers that will start migrating them to 3.1, and we need to ensure we're ready.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Sample Epic 3.1 eCR is processed through our pipeline
  • Data quality analysis on our Viewer vs original XML performed, and spreadsheet created to track discrepencies

Additional context

This is a really important issue for our users - they want to ensure we support the 3.1 spec as soon as it becomes more widely used.
