  • I am on the latest ActivityWatch version.
  • I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate.
  • OS name and version: Android 14
  • ActivityWatch version: v0.12.1

Describe the bug

As seen in the picture, not every category shows its designated color. I couldn't find any correlation.

To Reproduce

Just go and add categories with colors.

Expected behavior

Should show every color.

Extra Info:

Using the alternative colors solves this somewhat. The issue is that the colors vary strongly from the original ones. Additionally, they only have a different color at the "Top Categories" part, everywhere else it's the original color.

That's just a limitation of the web UI, the events are very likely categorised correctly — take a look at Category Tree ;)

You'll need to update your categorisation rules to include the words shown in each rectangle to make them colourful :)

Also, don't forget to add colors to the categories...

Hi there, thanks for the quick reply.
I think you misunderstood me wrong. I gave every category a color. But it doesn't show the color, just grey. Enabling fallback colors just repaints them into weird ones.

I didn't get that part, sorry english isnt my first language. Maybe this can help me

If you have the color set correctly like this, it's very likely a bug then...

Yes the colors are set correctly for every category.
